Justin has been composing music for over 20 years, primarily through bands like The Video Nasties, Dissonance, No Absolution, Fall of Empyrean, and The Liquescent Horror. Since childhood, he has been transfixed by movies and the ability of music to completely transform how an audience processes on-screen imagery. Inevitably, these two interests merged as Justin transitioned to writing music for film, television, and other media. In early 2021, he launched a website dedicated to discussing cult horror films, Confluence of Cult. In 2023, he finished writing his first book, “Hand-Held Hell: The Outbreak of Homemade Horror,” about the shot-on-video horror boom of the ‘80s and ‘90s and its legacy in the digital age. It was published in October 2023 via Graveface Publishing. He’s currently at work on his second book, “Panels of the Profane,” chronicling the boom of independently published horror comics in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Justin lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and two daughters.
